And here I am sitting up late
And again I decided to write
Since ideas are easy to formulate
When most of the page is still white.

I’d like to tell you a tale
Aside from my jokes in class
About my feelings destined to fail
And who I am and once was.
The courage was my problem again
I should have told you a long time ago
But love is one cynical game
And deceitful as an one-ended rainbow.
No treasure was for me to be found
While my self-esteem was rotten
Right now I am on safer ground
Yet the past shall not be forgotten.
I’ve lost good friends on the path
Which made me who I am
But again I know how to laugh
And shall never forget it again

The meaning between these lines
Is that I like you more than I should
Your intelligence and beautiful smiles
Make me happier than anyone ever could
