Sleepless
Geschrieben von: Morgenstern
I lie awake, while you are sleeping
My nerves do shake, inside I'm weeping
You dream there still, though I don't know
For what to come and where to go.
I left the cushions, left your side
Sit at the desk, wish I could drink
But to my own rules I abide
So anything I do is think.
Sometimes I wish to change the past
or present, both would suit me fine
Instead I watch my shadow cast
And wish the sun would shine.
I love you, but do we comply?
You love your life, I question mine
And if I left without goodbye
You'd recognize me for some time.
I'm tired, but I'm still awake
You breath one wall, one door away
And still I ponder, my nerves shake
To go to you or just to stay.
